This chapter provides a comparative analysis of the expression of attributive possession in the Bantu languages. As is typical for our current knowledge of the Bantu languages, the basics of the grammatical expression of attributive possession are well known, but the rich typological variation that can be found in these domains is often in need of careful comparative study, which holds the promise of uncovering theoretically interesting typological correlations and mechanisms of syntactic change.
